As we pulled into White Marlin Marina, we were greeted by a few familiar faces. This is our fourth year docking at White Marlin, staying for a month each time. There are at least 8 boats that have returned this year. On the same day we arrived: KKSea Dweller arrived before us & KKWaterford came in shortly after us. Annabella, the dock master & Sue the owner are still going strong. There wasn't any hurricanes last season in the keys, so the place is in great shape.

Our friends from Toledo: Doris, Jerry, Rhonda & Aggie were staying at a nearby rental for a week, so we toured them around the Key. We lunched at Sunset Grill, sitting out by the pool, with a great view of the 7 mile Bridge & the Atlantic. We took them kayaking around our marina, we grilled lobster, played games and enjoyed a great couple of days with them.

Nelsons celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary, so we went out to dinner with them & Halls. Sparky's was rocking with a band and Garry & Jacque got up, danced and even sang with the band. Then in February, we celebrated Halls Anniversary at the Tiki Hut with steaks on the grill and all the fixings plus a delicious cake from Sweet Savannah's. Finishing the evening, Ellen entertained us by playing her beautiful Native American Flutes.
My brother Bob & Karen were spending a few weeks in Marathon at one of their time shares so we spent a few lunches & afternoons with them.

Several days through the month, Waterford & Sea Dweller joined us on dinghies while we explored, checked out restaurants for lunches, floated for cocktail hours and hung out at the sandbar. We checked out a new marina on the gulf side called Molnar Bay. It has a nice pool and amenities but it's pricey, weedy and the outer docks are not well protected.

We also biked a lot all over town, loving the power of our E-bikes. It was easy to go 10-15 miles even with the wind in our faces. Key Colony Beach has an annual Coconut Crawl that the 6 of us participated in. We used our bikes and hit 6 bars in the area. We all got t-shirts & goodie bags.

We biked to Key Colony Beach to play Pickle Ball. We introduced it to Waterford & Sea Dweller. Our friends, KKAcadia joined us to play Pickle Ball for their first time too.
Happy Hour at the Tiki Bar was an occasional event for us. We joined in for the Chili Cook off and Super Bowl Party-we won $50 for halftime score!

The Annual Art Festival was held at the City Park. We met Diane & Tim from KKAcadia at the Festival & listened to some live music by a Journey Tribute band. We all had fun singing along.

Once a week, fellow Krogen current & past owners meet for Breakfast at Sunset Grill. We made it to breakfast once to say hi and visit.

We took a ferry, along with Diane & Tim, over to Pigeon Key to tour the grounds & buildings from the Flagler Railroad construction. It is an interesting part of the Keys history. Henry Flagler used this 5 acre island as a work camp for the construction of the Florida East Coast Railway between 1908 & 1912. It is located off the old Seven Mile Bridge at mile marker 45. Flagler used his own money to build this section of the railway between Key West & Homestead which was completed in 1912 & subsequently destroyed in 1935 by the Cat 5 Labor Day Hurricane. Sections of the railway were then converted to the current highway.
