Canada has a transcontinental federal-provincial highway system that crosses all of Canada's 10 provinces called the Trans-Canada Highway. It spans from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean. We drove east on it today through Sudbury Ontario, where we stopped at a great Coffee Shop to use their internet & sip on my treat of a Decaf Mocha. We stopped next in Sturgeon Falls, ON where Anne & Serg own & run a great gelato shop called Jilliebean Cafe. We met Anne & Serg last December in Punta Gorda at Esther's home. It was fun seeing their Cafe & sampling their delicious gelato. They were so gracious & even helped us exchange some of our US cash into Canadian currency.
Our final destination for the day was Samuel de Champlain Ontario Provincial Park. We camped in Jingwakoki Campground, (already places are getting tough to pronounce) for 2 nights. The park & campground is quite woodsy and is bordered by Moore Lake and 2 rivers. We kayaked the scenic Mattawa River for about 8 miles, finding a suspension bridge and reaching the place they call the Gut.
